DAY BY DAY DESCRIPTIONS:

 

Day 1               ARRIVAL

 

Arrival at the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet & greet by your driver. Private transfer to your hotel in San José. After arrival to the Hotel, you can take the rest of the day to relax.

Day 2             COMBO TOUR

 

La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Poás Volcano, Doka Coffee Plantation Tour, breakfast, lunch and roundtrip transportation from San Jose

This tour is a complete package that allows you to see what we feel is the true essence of Costa Rica. 

Our first stop is breakfast at a local café where you will enjoy an authentic Costa Rican style breakfast.

We will then take you to a third-generation coffee plantation and show you how coffee is picked, milled, ground, and roasted. Once you've found out first hand, or cup, why Costa Rica is known for its coffee, it's off to the Poás Volcano.

This crater volcano is one of the four active volcanoes in Costa Rica. The crystal blue sulfur pools will amaze you along with the steam rising from the various volcanic vents. But, that's not all: our last stop is La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

Your personal tour guide will take you through the butterfly observatory, the hummingbird garden and the waterfall trails. After your hike you will enjoy our Costa Rican buffet lunch.

Day 3            ARENAL VOLCANO AND HOT SPRINGS

Arenal Volcano is located on the plains of San Carlos, famous for the beauty of its landscape, the picturesque villages and its special climate. The Arenal Volcano is magnificent, drawing attention to its powerful explosions of ash and lava which appear as multicolored fireworks at night, making Arenal one of the most active volcanoes in the Américas.


And if this wasn't enough, just in front of the volcano, so close that you can feel the colossus vibrate, we will visit the most beautiful gardens with hot springs that complete the fascinating night of natural wonders. After dinner you´ll be transferred to you hotel in Arenal and you will understand why this has become one of the most popular tours in Costa Rica.

During this tour we also visit Sarchi well known for the beauty of the handcrafts that they produce

Day 4          ARENAL AT LEISURE

Day 5         ARENAL - OCOTAL BEACH

  

During the morning shuttle transfer to Ocotal Beach, where you will experience a ride through one of the most popular routes of the country.

 

Playa Ocotal is located 39 kms from the City of Liberia, via the Guardia - Sardinal - Playas del Coco road, and then following a gravel road. Ocotal is the gate to the Gulf of Papagayo. It is a small beach of 700 mts. protected by hills and cliffs af sedimentary metamorphic rocks of 80 million years of age. Its clear sands mix with sarce rock formations and the dry forests of the hills. 


Together with Cirial Point to the west and La Flor Peak to the north, it is a site of outstanding scenic beauty where the shimmering sands are dotted with mounds of rocks, the hills covered with tropical dry forest and the jagged coastline forever battered by the pounding surf.

The sea air is tinged with a whitish mist that many healers believe to be rich in negative ions, small particles charged with electricity that have beneficial effects on people animals and plants. The advantage of Ocotal is that this idyllic beach combines this kind of energy with hours and hours of brilliant sunshine, a mild climate and the warm inviting waters of the blue sea. Indeed, during the dry season (December-April) there are 9 hours of sun a day and there can be 4-5 during the rainy or green season.

Day 6         OCOTAL BEACH AT LEISURE

 

This Peninsula is known internationally for its dry tropical climate and majestic beaches. In this area they are caressed by the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Pacific.

Relax at the beach or take one of the optional tours in the area: canopy tour, horseback riding, tubbing, Snorkeling, Diving, etc.

Day 7         SUNSET TOUR
