Day 1     ARRIVAL
 

Arrival in Intl. Airport Juan Santamaría (SJO) in Alajuela. Transfer to your Hotel.
Lodging: Hotel Presidente, San José

Day 2       SAN JOSE- PANAMÁ
 

Departure early in the morning from San Jose until Sixaola, where we will cross the border into Changuinola, Panama From Changuinola we will take the boats through the jungle canals until we reach Isla Colon, the main island.
The Islands of Bocas del Toro, in North West Panama, are some of the last secluded and tropical Caribbean Islands, still virgin and unspoiled by human development. Bocas del Toro Islands are part of the province of Bocas del Toro.
Lodging: 2 nights in Bahía Hotel in Panama.

Day 3      PANAMA
 

Tour: Dolphin Tour in Bocas del Toro
You will be visiting Crawl Key for amazing snorkeling. Later we will visit the DolphinBay to watch the large population of dolphins that inhabit this area. After, we will visit RedFrogBeach to see the poison dart frogs living in these islands and at last we will spend 2 relaxing hours on the beach at RedFrogBeach.

Day 4    COSTA RICA 
  Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel and get ready to visit the amazing Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.
This wonderful beach town on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica holds many surprises. With its laid back attitude and Caribbean life style, you can be assured of a relaxing Costa Rican holiday. Naturally, for those of us who like a more activity Puerto Viejo has also long walks on pristine beaches, experiencing exotic flora and fauna in a wildlife refuge, snorkeling or diving among the many reefs in our crystal clear waters, world-class surfing, mountain biking, kayaking and cultural visits to indigenous peoples.

Day 5     COSTA RICA- CAHUITA
 

Day Tour: Cahuita National Park
The walk takes about two hours, but hikers will definitely want to stop frequently for a picnic, for a swim in warm Caribbean waters, to gape at the Howler Monkeys in the tree top high overhead or to focus their binoculars on a Green Ibis of Green and Rufous kingfisher.
The National Park was formed to protect one of the last living reefs in Costa Rica. Snorkelers can try their luck near Cahuita Point or Puerto Vargas. In these waters scientists have counted 35 species of coral, including elk horn, brain coral and Venus sea fan, and 123 species of tropical fish.

Day 6      COSTA RICA- SARAPIQUÍ
 

In the morning tranfer to Sarapiquí where you´ll  admire the biodiversity of the RainForest.
Founded in 1954 by Dr. Leslie Holdridge, La Selva Biological Station is located in the lowlands of northern Costa Rica on the Caribbean side. La Selva consists of 1,600 hectares (3,900 acres), 73% of which is primary tropical rain forest. The area's average yearly rainfall is 4 m, or more than 13 feet. Since the Organization of Tropical Studies (OTS) purchased La Selva in 1968, it has become a significant site for research on tropical rain forests. Natural history enthusiasts will be pleased with the activities and resources offered to them

Day 7    COSTA RICA- WILDWATER RAFTING
 

Tour: Wildwater Rafting in the River Sarapiquí
Depart from Selva Verde and journey through the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica. A preliminary safety orientation will prepare you for the challenges you’ll face on the water. Keep an eye out for the diversity of the wildlife seen at the river’s edge in between the Class I-III rapids. If you are a skilled rafter, we can arrange a more challenging excursion on Class III-IV rapids. All trips are escorted by a professional river guide.

Day 8      COSTA RICA - ARENAL VOLCANO
 

Morning Tranfer from Sarapiquí to the famous Arenal Volcano.
Feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. Arenal Volcano National Park is part of the Area de Conservación Arenal, which protects most of the Cordillera de Tilarán. It contains half the species of land welling vertebrates (birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians) known in Costa Rica. The Arenal volcano was temporarily dormant form about 1500 AD until July 29, 1998, when huge explosions triggered lava flows that destroyed two villages. Despite this massive eruption, the volcano retained its almost perfect conical shape. Due to its continuing activity ash columns, massive explosions, and glowing red lava flows almost daily since 1968. The closest town to the volcano is La Fortuna de San Carlos.

Day 9    COSTA RICA- ARENAL VOLCANO
 

Day Tour: Arenal Volcano and Hotsprings
The Arenal Volcano tour transports guests to the active northwest side of the volcano. The tour begins with a hike and depending upon which side of the volcano the lava is flowing, we go either to the trail “Los Tucanes” at the National Park or Mirador El Silencio. It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife, magnificent lava rock formations and the Arenal Lake just in time for sunset!
During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at the mineral hot springs.

Days 10, 11, 12 and 13    NICARAGUA

 

Transfer to Liberia in the morning. In Liberia you´ll be taken to Nicaragua, where you ´ll pick up your Car. Drive to Granada and enjoy!
Granada, the oldest colonial city in Central America, founded by the Spanish conqueror " Don Francisco Hernández de Córdoba" in 1524. Chock-full of architectural and historical splendor, Granada provides a window into the past which one can experience just by strolling through the peaceful parks or along the narrow cobblestone streets. But don’t confine yourself only to the city limits… there is a lot to see in and around Granada.
